We’re deeply saddened to share that our team member, Steve Sittig, passed away on March 21, 2025. Steve was a much respected and thoughtful leader in the CA Public Banking Alliance, Public Bank Los Angeles, and Public Bank Pomona Valley, always bringing care, kindness, and skill to everything he did. His presence, patience, and generosity of spirit will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, gentle soul.

Steven Sittig is a co-founder and facilitator of Public Bank Pomona Valley Study Group. He serves as the Pomona Valley Regional Director for the California Public Banking Alliance. An educator (retired) at the secondary and community college levels in the sciences and philosophy, he continues as Director of the Observatory at the Webb Schools in Claremont, CA.  He has done extensive volunteer work at the City of Hope, the American Red Cross, the National Ski Patrol, and Learning Ally (formerly Recording For the Blind).
